A fully supported 6-month launchpad for high-potential Healthtech startups, based in/or who want to be based in Dundee & Tay Cities Region.

A programme designed for ambitious Medtech, Biotech, Healthtech, and Life Sciences founders who are ready to accelerate their growth and integrate into a thriving healthcare innovation ecosystem.

About the Programme

Techscaler’s 6-month Dundee & Tay Cities Healthtech Residency is designed to help early-stage Healthtech founders launch their startup, validate their business models, and get investment ready.

Throughout the programme founders will get access to:

  • 6-months of free co-working space located in the heart of Dundee at Water's Edge - 1-2 desks will be allocated per company
  • Regular, structured mentorship sessions and peer support
  • Direct access to experienced operators on-site, helping to refine business models and perfect investor pitches
  • Regular cohort events, exclusive ecosystem networking, invite-only industry gatherings, and direct pipelines to investor connectivity

The programme will conclude with a showcase trip to a national Healthtech hub at the end of March.

Backed by world-renowned universities and regional investment, life sciences is a cornerstone of the Tay Cities region.

This programme bridges the gap between groundbreaking research and commercial viability helping founders transform their Healthtech ideas into market-ready businesses.

Who is this for?

We are seeking ambitious founders who: 

  • Operate in Medtech, Biotech, Healthtech or Life Sciences
  • Have a validated idea or early-stage startup 
  • Committed to spending a minimum of 1-2 days per week on-site at the Dundee Hub at Water's Edge
  • Companies, based in/or who want to be based in Dundee & Tay Cities Region

Peer support and founder-to-founder bonding happen organically when teams share space daily. We expect Water's Edge to be your team's main operating base. You'll naturally have the flexibility needed for lab work and off-site meetings, but our community is built on daily presence.

As part of the application process, applicants must submit a pitch deck and a short video application, which will be judged by a panel of industry experts.

  • Applications open: Wednesday, 8 July
  • Applications close: Friday, 7 August
    If you are not currently a Techscaler Member, please submit your Techscaler Application by Friday, 31 July to allow us time to review and process your application. 
  • Application review: Monday, 10 August - Thursday, 13 August
  • Outcome sent: Friday, 14 August
  • Programme Duration: 6 months (September 2026 - March 2027)
  • Culmination: The programme concludes with a showcase trip to a national Healthtech hub at the end of March.
