We’re opening applications for a two-week programme in New York and New Jersey in June 2026, designed for Techscaler businesses which have already begun engaging with the market in the US. This programme supports you to move beyond initial conversations, experience New York’s business culture first-hand, build on existing connections, and establish a strong, credible presence within the ecosystem.

About the Programme
‍


This programme consists of two weeks on location in New York and New Jersey, as well as pre-departure activities, designed to help you:

  • Leverage the power of New York as an international business and tech hub
  • Build connections and explore opportunities enabled by New York Tech Week 
  • Strengthen relationships with industry partners, buyers, and innovation leaders
  • Shape a clear and credible strategy for your US market expansion


Why New York and New Jersey?

New York and New Jersey offer concentrated access to customers, investors, and sector-specific corporations across fintech, health, climate, and enterprise software, with growing relevance for UK companies seeking a US base. The timing of this programme aligns with New York Tech Week creating a dense schedule of high-value events and meetings.


Who is this for?



We’re looking for up to 10 ambitious participants who meet the following profile:

  • Founders, co-founders or senior leaders 
  • Revenue-generating business (at least £1k+/month; flexible for regulated sectors)
  • ‍Have existing customers in, paid pilots from, or investment from the US or has at least already started engaging with US partners and can demonstrate meaningful traction

If you don’t think you meet all of these criteria but believe this opportunity is the right next step for your company, we still encourage you to apply as we will review your US expansion plan as part of the application process.

You must be a Techscaler member and able to represent both your company and Scotland’s tech ecosystem professionally. If you are not currently a Techscaler member, please ensure you have applied by 9am Monday 23rd of March to allow us to process your application in time. Please note that you can’t apply on behalf of someone else.

  • Applications open: Monday 16 March
  • Deadline to apply to the broader Techscaler programme if you are not already a member: Wednesday 25rd March at 12 noon
  • Applications close: Monday 30 March at 9am
  • Panel review: Monday 30 March (please note we will not be able to accept any late applications past 9am that morning)
  • Outcome sent: Wednesday 1 April
  • Pre-departure activities:
    - Online cohort mixer - Wed 15th April 12-12.45pm
    - Online pre-departure workshop - Wed 6th May 12-1pm
    - Mentorship and information sessions - throughout April
  • Travel: Saturday 30 May → Saturday 20 June
    - Week 1 - New York base
    - Week 2 - New Jersey base
  • Post-programme: Impact surveys post trip, at 6 months and 12 months

  • Return flights from Scotland to New York + hotel accommodation in New York (week 1) and New Jersey (week 2)

What’s expected from you
‍

  • Attend all Techscaler-arranged pre-departure activities
  • Complete your own independent outreach and schedule your own meetings ahead of time
  • Engage fully throughout the week in-market
  • Complete post-programme reporting and follow-up activities
