About the Programme

Gamescom brings together games studios, publishers, investors, platform holders, service providers and players from across the world.

Through this opportunity, participating companies will be supported to make the most of their time in Cologne, with a focus on commercial development, market validation and sector learning. The programme is designed to help founders:

  • Explore routes to funding, publishing, distribution and international growth
  • Gather live feedback on alpha, beta or playable builds
  • Grow awareness and community engagement around upcoming titles
  • Understand current games industry trends, commercial models and market opportunities
  • Bring insights back to Scotland’s wider games and startup ecosystem

This will be a supported, founder-led experience. Techscaler will help participants prepare, connect and make the most of the opportunity, while founders will be expected to drive their own outreach, meetings and business development activity.

Why Gamescom?

Gamescom is one of the world’s most important events for the games industry, bringing together international trade visitors, publishers, investors, platforms, developers and players.

For Scottish games companies, it offers a valuable opportunity to combine business development with market testing. Founders can use the event to meet potential commercial partners, pitch to publishers and investors, explore platform relationships, test games with players, and gather direct feedback from a global audience.

For Dundee and the wider Tay Cities region, Gamescom also provides a platform to showcase our gaming cohort and the strength of Scotland’s games and interactive innovation sector internationally.
