Who is Techscaler Catalyst for? Who is eligible?

Techscaler Catalyst is built for ambitious founders who are actively building a scalable tech business and want structured support to accelerate progress.

You should apply if you:

  • Are actively working on a tech startup.
  • Have validated (or are validating) a real market problem.
  • Are committed to structured, weekly progress.
  • Want accountability, peer learning and expert support.

To participate in Catalyst, you must:

  • Be a Techscaler member (membership is fully-funded).
  • Be based in Scotland or building your company here.
  • Have a registered company or have developed an MVP or prototype.
  • Dedicate over 8 hours per week on your business or idea.

What are the intended outcomes for founders?

Catalyst is designed to create tangible progress, not just theoretical learning. Across nine weeks, founders move from uncertainty to clarity, strengthening the foundations required to scale with confidence.

By the end of the programme, you'll be able to:

  • Articulate a clear startup ambition aligned to a compelling vision and mission.
  • Deeply understand customer needs by applying the Jobs-to-Be-Done methodology to real discovery work.
  • Design and run evidence-based, low-cost experiments to validate early assumptions.
  • Create a tangible product prototype, ranging from early concepts and wireframes to a minimum viable product.
  • Learn how to acquire and grow early customers using practical, repeatable acquisition strategies.
  • Develop a viable business and commercial model using structured strategic frameworks.
  • Leverage AI tools to optimise early-stage processes, experimentation, and decision-making.
  • Understand the role and impact of AI in building and scaling early-stage companies.

The Autumn '26 cohort is built around 8 core workshops and a demo day spread across 9 weeks, with onboarding and offboarding activity either side to make sure nobody starts or finishes the programme without support.

Identify your target market and build a deeper understanding of your ideal customers.

3. Solution Discovery

Turn insight into a focused solution and test whether it meets a genuine need.

4. Pitching

Communicate your startup’s value clearly, confidently and convincingly in preparation for the demo day.

5. Revenue Experimentation

Test practical ways to generate revenue and learn what customers are willing to pay for.

6. Going Live

Prepare your product for launch and create a clear plan for getting it into customers’ hands.

7. Sales Strategy / Marketing

Build repeatable strategies to reach, attract and convert your first customers.

8. Startup Operations

Put the essential systems, processes and priorities in place to run your startup effectively.
