What is Techscaler Raise?

The upcoming version of Techscaler Raise (30 November - 2 December) is a practical programme for founders preparing to raise their first angel or institutional investment round.
‍
Across three focused days, you’ll strengthen your investment case, refine your pitch and fundraising strategy, and learn how to identify and approach the right investors. You’ll gain practical tools, expert guidance and the confidence to navigate the fundraising process and take the next steps towards securing investment.
‍
If you’ve already raised an investment round and are preparing for your next one, we’ll be launching a separate track focused on follow-on fundraising in 2027.

Who is Techscaler Raise for?

Raise is for founders preparing for their first substantial angel or institutional equity raise (smaller rounds of <£50 will not disqualify you from the programme).
‍
The programme is not intended for founders who have already completed a significant institutional equity round and are preparing for a subsequent raise.

You should apply if you have:

  • A working product or clear product development underway
  • A clear value proposition that solves a meaningful customer problem
  • Evidence of customer traction and a significant market opportunity
  • A scalable business model with a clear path to revenue
  • A credible funding strategy outlining how investment will support growth
  • Clear ambition and evidence of momentum in building your business

To participate in Raise, you must:

  • Be a Techscaler member (membership is fully-funded).
  • Have a business registered in Scotland, plan to register here, or have senior team presence in Scotland.

Build your confidence to raise

Across three focused days, investor and fundraising expert Alex Rowe will guide you through the essentials of raising investment — from crafting a compelling story and strengthening your pitch to building a clear strategy for engaging the right investors.

Day 1 — Narrative & Positioning

Clarify your story, value proposition and positioning, and build a compelling narrative for investors.

Day 2 — The Raise

Understand the mechanics of fundraising, strengthen your deck and develop a clear investment case.

Day 3 — Investor Strategy & Pitch

Define your investor strategy, identify the right investors and practise communicating your pitch effectively.

What will you take away from Raise?

You leave with a clear, credible and investor-ready plan for your first raise - and a better understanding of who to approach, why they should invest and what you need from them.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have:

  • A clearer and more compelling investment narrative
  • A stronger pitch and investor deck
  • A defined fundraising strategy and funding requirement
  • A clearer understanding of your target investors
  • Practical tools and confidence to start investor conversations
