We're excited to announce that four innovative Scottish health and medtech startups from our community will be showcasing their companies at Barclays Health Elevate on Wednesday 25th June at Barclays' Canary Wharf headquarters.
What's Barclays Health Elevate All About?
This flagship event brings together the brightest minds in healthcare innovation, from industry experts and health professionals to life sciences researchers and academics. The day will feature panel discussions tackling current healthcare challenges alongside showcases from over 100 cutting-edge businesses, all focused on collaboration and innovation in the healthcare sector.
Why Techscaler is Getting Involved
Barclays invited us to participate as a trusted partner and ecosystem connector, recognising our role in nurturing Scotland's most promising startups. They're keen for companies we believe in to have a platform at this high-profile event, and we jumped at the chance to support our founders' growth.
To make this opportunity accessible, we've provided travel support and offered our founders the chance to hotdesk at Scotland House during their London visit - removing barriers so talent can shine.
Meet Our Scottish Cohort
We're proud to be bringing four exceptional founders to London, all Techscaler members selected by CodeBase's Community Managers for their innovative approach to healthcare challenges:
- Tolulope (Tolu) Abikoye - JoyeD, a groundbreaking digital health platform developed by Connecting Hands Ltd to address the critical and often neglected issue of postnatal depression.
- Douglas Lester - Fertility Genomics, a fertility specialist DNA company focused on analysing clinical DNA and tackling unexplained infertility.
- Ayub Shoaib - NOMW Health, an innovative medical device leveraging AI to forecast health issues and offer preventative care solutions.
- Sacha Wright - Practest, an innovative solution working to reshape GP practice operations through intelligent systems, AI-driven admin, and seamless access to care.
While all are Techscaler members, we extended invitations beyond our immediate network because we believe great innovation shouldn't be limited by membership boundaries.
