Last month, London Tech Week 2026 took over Olympia, transforming the iconic venue into a hub of innovation. Drawing a crowd of over 30,000 global founders, investors, and tech leaders, it cemented its reputation as one of Europe’s most significant tech conferences.
For any early-stage company looking to secure investment or break into the wider UK and European markets, Olympia was undisputedly the place to be.
The cohort:
For the main expo on the 8th to 10th June, Techscaler brought 8 Scottish companies straight into the action, spanning fintech, AI, supply chain and more. To ensure our founders could focus purely on growth, Techscaler fully covered the cost of their passes, granting them direct entry into a bustling arena of investors, enterprise buyers, and potential customers and partners.
From MoneyHive’s payment infrastructure for diaspora communities to XYNQ’s digital notary for AI decisions, the cohort represented some of the most impressive early-stage ventures coming out of the Techscaler and wider tech ecosystem from Scotland. Notably, the cohort featured strong female representation with Dia Banerji of Cherpa AI, Ciara Mitchell of LastingAsset, Sacha Wright of Practest and Dr Ffion Hargood of Husu among the enterprising founders making their mark at the event.
Together, the cohort arrived in London with clear intent to grow their networks and put their products in front of the right people.
The event:
This year Techscaler secured a booth in the UK Tech Journey Zone, positioned in a coveted spot alongside booths from Innovate UK, HubSpot and the Department for Business and Trade.
Over the two days, the booth served as a base where founders could anchor themselves, featuring rotating hourly slots for two founders to run side-by-side product demos. The prime location of the booth provided strong footfall, putting founders face to face with the exact people who can help them grow. As Dia Banerji, Founder and CEO of Cherpa AI, put it:
“The Techscaler booth and being part of the cohort was the best part of the event. The booth allowed us to showcase our offering in a way that attracted footfall. And being part of a cohort was very special as we could demonstrate the incredible innovation Scotland has to offer.” - Cherpa AI
Between demos and networking, the cohort was well-placed to soak up insights from some of the world's top tech visionaries. Highlights included Aravind Srinivas, Co-founder and CEO of Perplexity, discussing how to scale an AI-native search product in an ever-shifting model market, and Mati Staniszewski, Co-founder of ElevenLabs, sharing lessons on building and exiting a unicorn in Europe. With sessions focusing on AI, digital infrastructure, fintech, and climate tech, the event was a masterclass in where the industry is heading next.
Founder outcomes and perspectives:
London Tech Week delivered strong founder engagement outcomes across the cohort. 86% of founders said the activity helped them access people, opportunities, or visibility they would not otherwise have reached, rising to 100% when including partial access. 71% generated six or more leads, 86% left with three or more follow-up conversations or meetings planned, and 100% reported at least one commercial, partnership, investment, ecosystem or media opportunity. Founder satisfaction was also strong, with 86% giving a positive CSAT score of 4 or 5.
“I'd highly recommend applying to come to London Tech Week with Techscaler- having the experience of exhibiting at the stand and meeting potential clients and investors was invaluable. The Techscaler and Codebase team were fantastic and very supportive, and it was also a good chance to speak to the other Techscaler founders and build wider network relationships.” - Co-founder of Husu, Dr Ffion Hargood
Moving forward:
Founders in the cohort arrived in London with serious momentum behind them, and that only continued. Husu, LastingAsset and XYNQ all went on to reach the finals of the Scottish EDGE Round 27. This is exactly the kind of progress we are excited to see flourish in Scotland, and we are always here to provide the scaffolding founders need to compound their success and scale faster.
