This autumn (14 Nov - 28 Nov 2026), five Scottish startups are taking their innovations global for the first edition of Techscaler’s Hong Kong Programme, opening a new route into one of the world's most commercially significant markets.
The cohort ranges from digital skills passports to AI-powered facial animation, robotics monitoring, industrial lubricants and neuroscience-based creativity tools, a mix that reflects the breadth of what Scottish tech founders are building right now.
Over two weeks in November, these five founders will be in Hong Kong at a particularly active time for the region's innovation calendar, giving them direct access to connections and opportunities that would otherwise take months to arrange from home ground.
Why Hong Kong?
Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area are a strong fit for the sectors this programme is designed for: Logistics and Maritime Tech, ClimateTech and Energy, and Applied AI and Smart City Tech. For startups working in these spaces, the region offers direct lines to commercial partners, local innovation agencies, science parks and investors already embedded in the market.
Running the trip around HKTDC Entrepreneur Day, the Hong Kong Forum and the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference means founders arrive when the region's own ecosystem is already in motion, giving the cohort multiple opportunities to build traction across both Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Competas provides digital competency passports that record workers' safety and technical skills, backed by skills assessments.
Gregor Hofer - Speech Graphics
Speech Graphics designs technology that turns audio into realistic facial animation, including lip sync and emotional expression, without needing motion capture.
Velocity Edge supplies lubricants from leading brands, including engine oils, hydraulic fluids, greases and aviation-grade fluids, with technical advice to help customers choose the right product.
NeuroCreate is developing AI-powered tools that help people think more creatively and reach "flow" states at work, based on the neuroscience of creative thinking.
Shivoh Chirayil Nandakumar - RideScan AI
